Trauma-Informed Counselling in Vancouver for Highly Sensitive & Deep-Feeling Humans

At Home Within Counselling, I offer trauma-informed counselling in Vancouver and online across Canada for individuals and couples who feel deeply, think deeply, and want more than surface-level support. My approach is holistic and relational, helping you understand yourself on a deeper level while building a sense of safety, self-trust, and connection from within.

A Relational, Soul-Centered Approach to Counselling

My path into this work began through my own experiences with both mental and physical health challenges, and feeling misunderstood and unseen in traditional systems of care. I remember feeling frustrated by approaches that focused on “fixing” symptoms without truly understanding what was underneath. What I needed (and eventually found) was a space where I felt genuinely seen, understood, and safe to be myself.

That experience shaped everything about how I show up in this work today.

I offer trauma-informed counselling in Vancouver and online across Canada, creating a space where you don’t have to explain, perform, or hold everything on your own. Our work is collaborative and grounded in helping you feel more steady, connected, and at home within yourself. I support you in feeling more empowered, liberated and grounded in self trust, so that you can become who you’re truly meant to be and  create a fulfilling life

Many of the people I work with identify as highly sensitive or neurodivergent, and are used to being “the strong one” while quietly carrying anxiety, self-doubt, or emotional weight. If that resonates, you’re in the right place and I’m so glad that you are here.

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, misunderstood, or like you have to hide parts of yourself to belong, you’re not alone. This work is about creating space for all of who you are — not fixing you, but helping you reconnect with the wholeness that already exists within you.

Support That Helps You Feel More Like Yourself Again

Therapy with me is collaborative, reflective, and paced in a way that feels safe for you. Together, we explore your nervous system, relationship patterns, past experiences, and the parts of you that have learned to adapt or carry more than they have to — with the goal of helping you feel more grounded, connected, and like yourself in your day-to-day life.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or quietly carrying a lot on your own, you don’t have to keep doing it alone.

“Wholeness is not achieved by cutting off a portion of one’s being, but by integration of the contraries.”
